Even so,Gandaki Province Chief Minister Krishna Chandra Nepali Pokharel had assigned the portfolios to his cabinet ministers.Yet two of the ministers owing to their discontentment with the portfolios allocated to them have not taken the charge of their respective departments.

Minister Harisharan Acharya of Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP) while eyeying for the Finance ministry was given the Ministry of Energy, Water Resources and Drinking Water. Minister Acharya pointed out that, the ruling government had infact made a 4 point deal before getting the vote of trust and agreed to offer the two preferred ministries to the JSP leader.

The other independent Minister Deepak Manange had retained the Youth and Sports Ministry and not the Finance or Physical Infrastructure office as he was expecting. Though he had turned his back on the former CM to support the new coalition partners in am attempt to gain the plum portfolio that didn't turn out to be true in the end.

Meanwhile,Minister Madhu Maya Adhikari Gurung has already taken over the Ministry of Health and Population.

Likewise,Minister Kumar Khadka who also serves as the Spokesperson of the province government has resumed his office at Ministry of Education,Culture,Science,Technology and Social Development.
