The Chief Minister of Gandaki Province,Krishna Chandra Nepali Pokharel has apparently finished assigning the portfolios to his cabinet ministers, nearly 14 days after they took the oath of office on June 12.

Even as there has been no official announcement on the distribution of ministerial portfolios, The world was around that CM will hold the administrations not allotted including physical infrastructures development, and finance, respectively. 

Similarly,Nepal Congress lawmaker Kumar Khadka has been entrusted with departments like Education, Culture, Science,Technology and Social Development. While, Madhu Maya Adhikari Gurung of CPN-Maoist Centre has taken the charge of Health and Population Ministry,Harisharan Acharya of Janata Samajbadi Party has been delegated with the Ministry of Energy,Water Resources and Drinking water.Another independent candidate Rajeev Gurung aka Deepak Manange has retained the Ministry of Youth and Sports. 

The province still occupies some vacant Ministry of:

• Tourism,Industry,Commerce and Supplies.
• Land Management, Agriculture, Cooperatives  and Poverty Alleviation.
• Law,Communication and Province Assembly Affairs. 
• Forest, Environment and Land Conservation. 

As of yet, there has been no news of the Chief minister planning to expand his council of ministers with reports of internal scuffle affiliated to portfolio allocation between the ruling parties which might affect the budget endorsement plan. 

In a bid to form a new government in the province, a coalition partnership was formed between then opposition parties comprising of NC,CPN-MAOIST Centre,Janata Samajbadi Party and one independent parliamentary member wherin the newly appointed CM had designated one member each from the parties into his newly formed cabinet with no portfolios given.
