The government hospital located in Baglung is in need of more than 30 million budget to complete the under construction Neonatal intensive care unit (NICU).

Gandaki Province government in the fiscal year 2020-21 had released a budget of Rs 6 million for the construction of NICU in the Baglung based hospital and subsequently the hospital had begun building the unit. But, at present uncertainty has loomed around the project owing to the insufficient budget with the unit looking nowhere ready. The acting Medical Superintendent of the hospital, Dr. Shailendra BK Pokhrel informed that the current budget allotment was not enough to purchase necessary equipments required to set-up NICU nor to build the infrastructures.
