Human Development and Community Services, an non-profit NGO working in a partnership with the government of Nepal to manage the district hospital, Lamjung in Besishahar-10 confirmed as many as 1,171 delivery of babies in the FY 2021-22 with 888 being normal, 90 cesarean-sections and 193 livebirths via other modes of surgeries during the labor.Besides, providing other health care facilities,the hospital, for the past score has been serving as a birthing centre in the district.

Hemanta Shrestha, the administration head of the hospital informed that,due to the upsurge in health awareness amongst the expectant mothers and their spouses,the number of hospital based delivery has significantly grown,of late where many women from the remote parts have also paid a visit to our hospital.The past records, too suggests the same as for the fiscal years 2018-19 and 2019-20 saw, 1,011 and 1,123 childbirths at this hospital, respectively.
