The boat service in Phewa Lake, which had been closed since April 27 due to the prohibitory order imposed by the authorities owing to the surge in the second wave of contagion, resumed on Saturday as per COVID-19 guidelines.

To the natives or both of the internal and domestic tourists, whilst being near the fresh water lake,cannot resist the charm of the tranquil Phewa Lake nor it's inviting aura to just enjoy oneself or in company by overlooking the spectacular views that becomes more eventful with boat rides.But,beacause of the pandemic outbreak,the fun activity was closed for nearly 2.5 months has now been reopened to the public.
The vice-chairperson of Fewa Boat Entrepreneurs Committee, Mangal Nepali, said," While meshing with the local bodies, the boating service has been relaunched by adopting necessary precautionary measures like passengers consenting to board are required to wear face masks compulsorily as well as permitting only four people to sit in the 20-ft-long boat whereas three people at most can get in the 18 feet one." Prior to that, upto 9 people used to ride on the boat at a time.
With the announcement of the boats operating again,brought good tidings for the worker's associated with this sector whose bread and butter comes from here.However, the Tal Barahi Mandir situated at the centre of the lake remains restricted to visitors, added Nepali.
