CM Krishna Chandra Nepali Pokhrel of Gandaki Province while wishing the Muslim community on the auspicious occasion of Bakar Eid conveyed a message that, may the festivity strengthen the spirit of unity, brotherhood and intimacy amongst all walks of life such that they can actively contribute in the making of a progressive,harmonious and prosperous country.

CM Pokhrel, expressed his greetings to the people celebrating Bakar Eid on the 10th day of final month of the Hijri (Islamic/Lunar)calendar i.e. Dhu al- Hijjah.Being a multilingual, multiethnic and multireligious nation, even the constitution has declared a multi faceted country like ours as a secular state wherin the rich and diverse ethnic plus cultural festivals like these can help to further the cause of peace, social inclusiveness, religious tolerance and ultimately pave the way for promoting national solidarity.Moreover, in the light of the pandemic, the groups observing Bakar Eid should adhere to safety guidelines.Similarly, may this day boost our morale to win the combat against the coronavirus outbreak and further motivate us in our drive to fight amid the crisis, read the statement.
