It has to be underlined that, this year, about three hundred eighty-six thousand students will be sitting for class 12 exams in which the evaluation would be carried out on the basis of 100 per cent of marks assessment criteria set for every subjects.
Due to the surge in the second wave of coronavirus infection, National Education Board (NEB) had to postpone the test date that was going to take place from July 9-18. However, with the relative decline in COVID-19 cases, NEB was in talks with the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology to conduct the examination of the grade 12 students with their physical attendances wherin the former had sought permission from the concerned authorities.
Even though,The COVID-19 Crisis Management Centre has granted the approval letter, we are awaiting to receive copy of the signed document, such that, the procedure of setting-up locations plus schedules will be done, as per the chairman of NEB, Chandra Mani Poudel,PhD.
Last year's board results were out with 40:60 formula, under which only 40 cent marks weightage was being marked for each students performances in the physical examination and the rest 60 percent was given from internal assessment that drew flaks for it's unfairness.
