The female ward members, representing Dalit community, at all 5 local levels of 72 wards in Kaski district partook in the event,informed Bain Bahadur Chettri, the chief of district coordination committee, Kaski.

The function,approved by the provincial government's Office of the Chief Minister and Council of Ministers, saw the Province Chief,Sita Poudel, yesterday at the commencement of the facilitation programme marked for women bearing responsibilities in the local level as well as in the district coordination committee from Dalit community.

Therein, Governor Poudel spoke about the representatives active participation for ensuring equitable development alongside designing laws and policies in the local bodies for the betterment of Dalit society while advocating for the females active role in that part. She,even reminisced the historical day of Jeystha 21, 2063 B.S. under which Nepal was declared as untouchability free state.Although, the Caste-Based Discrimination and Untouchability (Offence and Punishment)Act,2068 B.S. which guarantees every person right to equality was in place but it's implementation is still doubtful, added Poudel. 

Likewise,the event was graced by the former Dean Dr. Bharat Raj Pahari of IOE,Pulchowk,in which he stressed about fostering an all-inclusive environment for the delegates,locally. Besides him,Dr.Krishna Raj Adhikari,the erstwhile Dean of Paschimanchal Campus, asserted on burgeoning very effective follow-up strategies in the context of physical infrastructure development. Meanwhile,Chettri explained that the approach of mass awareness about such ill practices needs to be addressed. 

Moreover,Thaneshwor Gautam,the Chief District Officer of Kaski,Journalist Sushma Adhikari alongside Deputy Chief Sabitri Bhandari and officer Navaraj Baral of the committee,also shared similar views.
