At a programme organised to address that,the samples of over one hundred thousand landless squatters alongside incorporating both the landless Dalits and unmanaged settlers together have been gathered in all 85 local levels of 11 districts in Gandaki province under the Land Problem Solving Commission.

The Landless Squatters' Problem Resolution Commission formed by the Nepal government on the grounds of solving the landless people problems, handling those settling in unmanaged settlements as well as securing land to the squatter dwellers, reported during a function in Pokhara that the task of gathering information from those groups was completed. Likewise, about 7,296 applications on the matter of incomplete documented works related to the landless dwellers was accumulated by the commission via the concerned 85 local bodies who at first had collected those pleas as a part of the consensus signed with the commission.

Yek Bahadur Rana, who serves as the central member of the commission plus is a representative of the province said that,around 7,904 landless Dalits, 12,658 landless squatters and 77,069 unmanaged settlers have been recorded. Rana further mentioned,'The settlers who are found to be living in a public land would be relocated to another place but to those dwelling anywhere except in the public domain can settle in the location.Meanwhile,the aforementioned petitions were inquired upon, assured Rana.
