The Chief Jailor,Chudamani Bhandari in Syangja District Prison shared that about 30 jailbirds have been transferred to Pokhara based District Prison,Kaski and District Prison,Tanahu on Damauli premises respectively.

The 41-year-old prison with two buildings located at Putalibazar, Syangja district is currently in a dilapidated state as the adjacent paved road linking Thadoline-Putalikhet in Putalibazar-1 collapsed on Sunday noon.This allowed the debris to fall towards the prison and left the wall of the buildings cracked.With no casualties being reported,however,to avoid any further damage due to the heavy rains lashed at the district,the inmates were shifted, informed Bhandari.
