A delegation of women entrepreneurs from tourism entrepreneurs forum(WOTEF) on Monday met the state chief Sita Poudel at the province chief office.

The province chief Sita Poudel while interacting with the delegates indicated the means to incorporate more of women entrepreneurs in the field of tourism as she believes that,they are the catalyst for the overall economic growth in the  province's capital city-Pokhara which is one of the popular tourist centre.Futhermore,the matrons associated in this sector plus in another arenas despite toiling round the cloud, who have even tested their mettle in a variety of roles yet their contribution remained unsung as long as they were unpaid which in a way was being disrespectful towards them.Even, the number of woman participants is less in the realm of executive or leadership tier,she added.

On the other hand,she underscored the fact that Gandaki Province being the leading tourist destination needed to thrive which would be possible if all the involved stakeholders adopted new strategies for the purpose of conducive development, besides fostering components like natural,social and cultural respectively.

The organisation chairperson,Parbati Pandey shared with the state chief about the problems faced by the people in this industry amid the challenging situation brought by COVID-19 plus looking for government's support through the enactment of the monetary policy as well as on the status of the vaccine to be made accessible for them.

The panel consisted of founding chairperson Jamuna Parajuli,vice president Uma Bhandari,advisors Debaka Pahari,Durga Dhakal, Namrata Kandel and fellow member Sharmila Neupana,among others who also expressed their opinions regarding the nuisances that females have had to endure while procuring financial loans from banks in order to start or their businesses.
