Ambassador of Israel to Nepal,Hanan Goder, visited Gandaki Province Chief Minister Krishna Chandra Nepali Pokhrel, at provincial government office on Tuesday.The meeting focused on Nepal-Israel bilateral ties and topic of common interest. Dr.Raghuraj Kafle,the vice-chairperson of Province Policy and Planning Commission alongside Chief secretary Ram Chandra Dhakal also attended the meeting.

During the session,CM Pokhrel,discussed with the envoy that the state government is committed to produce proficient expertise for fostering the agricultural sector in terms of commercialization and modernisation while supporting the collaborative undertakings,since a number of young farmers are being sent to Israel for training programmes which he likes to carry on with in the next fiscal year,too.

Recalling that both countries share 61 years long association and hail deep historical ties in which the late Prime Minister of Nepal BP Koirala paid a greater part when he sought skill human resources from Israel to boost the culture of cooperatives here, as said by CM Pokhrel. 

On the other hand, ambassador Goder spoke about further strengthening the relationship between the two nations in different arenas for the purpose of  establishing the diplomatic relationship to the next level as the envoy recalls, they are similar in terms of their small geography yet distinct culture, tradition and language. 

Arava Nepal Modern Agricultural Technology Company was established back in 2016 by the youth returnee from Israel to work in the streams of agro tourism,integrated farming and agricultural training inorder to increase the productivity as well as promote agriculture friendly technology. Likewise,nearly 500 farmers representing the seven provinces are in Israel for procuring the training procedure.
