Multiple landslides in this past days have been reported along Prithvi Highway,Mid-hill Highway in Gandaki province.

The tanahu section of Prithvi Highway was blocked due to the prolonged rainfall triggered landslides in Tharpu of Myagde Rural Municipality-4.The sub inspector Krishna Bahadur Baniya, Tharpu ,said the movement of the traffic was affected when a 12 wheeler vehicle got stuck in the muddy road.Later at 8 am,the road was cleared to resume the disturbed vehicular movement, added Baniya.

The heavy rain induced landslide in Chuwabhir of Kusma Municipality-8 disrupted the Mid-Hill Highway on Tuesday. According to the DSP Bishwaraj Adhikari of District Police office, Parbat,'Due to the continuous rainfall since Monday,Parbat-Baglung road stretch was halted after a lanslilde with a huge boulder approximately about 50 metres fell on the road'.Meanwhile,the passengers heading from Mustang, Myagdi,Baglung towards Pokhara were stranded.

On contrary to the above news, the rural road in Bhimad Municipality-8 resumes after two weeks of disruption owing to the landslide near Kalbhuda Chisapani segment of the roadway. The chairperson of the municipality,Buddhiman Shrestha informed that the excavator was deployed to remove the landslide debris even so the continuous rainfall had made it difficult to clear the blockade.
