Activists burn the effigy of Education Minister in Pokhara.

Pokhara.

The campaigners representing Jaat Vyawastha Unmulan Morcha,Gandaki Province and Sangam Sanskriti Mancha have burnt the effigy of Education Minister Krishna Gopal Shrestha in their protest against the caste-based discrimination in Human Rights Chowk,Pokhara.

They have blamed the minister for protecting the accused Saraswati Pradhan in contrast to the mistreatment faced by Rupa Sunar.

The district police Kaski intervened and then detained the three youths.They have been identified as Kiran Nepali,Netra Chapagain and Resham Sapkota.

Sapkota and Chapagain are the party leaders of Janata Samajbadi Party whereas Nepali is the prime activist of the movement.
