Chief Minister(CM) Krishna Chandra Nepali Pokhrel while interacting with the representatives of Nepal Rastra Bank and other financial institutions based in Pokhara,today gave an assurance that the 'Life Saving fund' was retained in the province's policies and plans for the next fiscal year.

CM Pokhrel commented that the provision was continued for the economic recovery in the hardest Covid-hit businesses comprising of both small and large scale and the plan shall be carried out further for another three years.He even discussed about the possibilities of banks operating on considerable net interest rates for those distressed sectors such that they can uplift from the current financial meltdown through the aid of bank loans.

According to Ishwori Prasad Bhattarai, the director of Pokhara branch office of Nepal Rastra Bank,'In the beginning there was a lack of clarity with no clear guidelines on how the scheme will be implemented but now we have resolved the issues wherein just about 6,778 applications were filed by the contributors seeking funds worth Rs 7.66 billions though we have succeeded to endorse Rs 4.5 billions'.
Under this scheme,the entrepreneurs are given financial support from Rs 50,000 up to Rs 1 million in which the interest is being borne by the state government.There are four headings in this category where the loan payment can be done within three years.
