Gandaki Province Government appoints new chief attorney.

Pokhara.

Attorney Rohit Raj Bastola has been appointed by Governor Sita Poudel as the Chief Attorney of Gandaki Province Government.

The appointment comes after,CM Krishna Chandra Nepali Pokhrel proposed Bastola's name as the province chief attorney in view of the fact that the new CM can arrange for a new Chief advisor because if the government changes,so does the advisor.

Bastola takes over from former justice chief Rajendra Ghimire where he had resigned from his post after the erstwhile Chief Minister lost the vote of trust.

Bastola brings 25 years' experience in the legal profession in which he previously served as the chairman of Pokhara High Court Bar Association as well as DLA Kaski.

The duty of the chief attorney just as the chief legal advisor includes to give opinion or legal counsel on constitutional plus judicial matters to the state government.Similarly,the renumeration and other facilities of the chief attorney remains similar like that of a Judge of High Court.
