Conservationist Rinzin Phunkjok Lama
Recipient of Rolex Awards for Enterprise-2021.
On June 21,Rolex organisation shared in their official website that Rinzin Phunkjok Lama from Humla was amongst the other five laureates to receive this award for his contribution in engaging community-based conservation initiatives to protect the biological varieties like snow leopards,wild yaks found in Nepal's trans-Himalayan region.
Dr. Sudip Shrestha
Recipient of 6th Kobayashi Foundation Award.
On June 12,Senior oncologist Dr Sudip Shrestha who also holds the chair of Nepal Cancer Hospital and Research Centre,Harisiddhi was honoured with the prestigious award in the category of healthacare professional at a virtual event held in Japan for his significant role towards the integrated comprehensive cancer care and treatment in Nepal.
