On 17th June,CM Krishna Chandra Nepali Pokharel had announced on his Facebook page, that he along with other government officials were off to the flood-affected Manang district with relief materials in the province.

After failing to land in Pokhara yesterday, due to an overcast sky,Gandaki Province Chief Minister,Krishna Chandra Nepali Pokharel plus his 26 team members have reached Pokhara, today.
In coordination with the Ministry of Home Affairs,CM Pokharel flew to Manang via Nepal army chopper.While,monitoring the region,he brought some relief packages like food materials,tents, medicines for the flood victims. He was further accompanied by MP Deepak Manage, Mustang Lawmaker Chinta Bahadur Ghale , among others.
But,owing to inclement weather, they had to stay at the District headquarter of Manang.The spokesperson of the province,Minister Kumar Khadka said that more than 35 people had been rescued from different areas of the disaster-hit district.
The government however had been criticised for calling the same helicopter from Pokhara that was rescuing people in Manang.Later on, they clarified that they would be returning to Pokhara on another plane.
Meanwhile, the provincial government has allotted Rs 50 million in the disaster fund for disaster management as well as relief by CM-chaired meeting of Gandaki Province Crisis(Disaster) Management Committee.
