Gandaki Province Chief,Sita Poudel has put forward the provincial government's policies and programmes for the upcoming fiscal year in the Provincial Assembly meeting,today.

During the reading of the policy and programme, Governor Poudel addressed on, COVID-19  prevention plan,whereby she stated that, the means and resources will be equipped to an optimum level in the treatment procedures whilst strengthening the Province's health care system including the availability of ambulance service at all provincial level since there has been an apparent rise in the infection cases with the second wave spreading like a bush fire,throughout the Province. Along that, as per the document ,the government has assured to provide financial aid for the Corona survivors.

Besides that, in the annouced policy,major provision is accorded to the overall development in infrastructural, hydropower,tourism plus cultural sector for the economic recovery.The provincial chief, further indicated that there will be enforcement of resolute punishment against all criminal offense or palm-greasing of any officials.Even, the education arena is highlighted with the initiatives like Province chief Education improvement programme and Operation of Residential school operation in every constituency. Likewise,different poverty alleviation works are being rendered along with the adoption of agricultural development strategies.

In the 59 member provincial assembly,the plans and programmes were passed through majority of votes as announced by the speaker of the assembly,Netra Nath Adhikari.
