Landslide in Bhalupahad causes road block at Pokhara-Syangja section.

A lanslide near Bhalupahad of Phedikhola Rural Municipality-2,Syangja has disrupted the vehicular movement between the road section of Pokhara and Syanja on the Siddhartha Highway, from 6am today.

DSP Rajendra Prasad Adhikari, at the District Police Syangja stated that,'Though, a dozer has been brought from Department of Road in Pokhara for clearing the road, the continuous rainfall is making it difficult to resume our work such that the traffic movement will be restricted for a brief period.'Adhikari added that landslide has erupted due to the incessant rainfall for the past few days.

It has been observed that, about 8-9 months ago the hills of this area had been cut to widen the roadway.
