Akkal Bahadur Karki ,the ward chairman commented that,'After the cremation rituals of the dead bodies, at the rato pahiro ghat of Majhuwa we find that the medical wastes and water bottles are carelessly thrown away without even thinking twice.'  Karki also added that a team was formed by the metropolis office a month ago to manage the garbages but nothing has been implemented.

However, Mayor GC after reviewing said that,'Wastages at the river bank side are found to be more than at the burial ground, but again we have directed the employees to collect all the rubbishes in one place.'

The Metropolitan office had put up a wire around the burying ground to which only the kins of the deceased and Nepal Army are allowed to enter there. The latter holds the responsibility to move the dead bodies from the hospital to the crematorium and then burys them with the help of  two bulldozers and dump trucks managed by the office.

Apart from that, Manju Devi Gurung pointed out that,'Even though the army is assigned to deliver the corpse and manage the dead bodies of covid patients however the relatives of the departed patients while attending the funeral processions, too discard away the used water bottles and other such items inattentively, polluting the riverbank.' Gurung has further appealed to everyone ,to not throw any waste products.

The Setighat, depending upon the family wish either burys or cremates the ones whom they have had lost against the novel coronavirus. Previously there had been a clash between the locals and the police force in connection with the burying of the dead COVID-19 patient.
