In the recent days, there is a huge surge of Coronavirus infection in Kaski District and keeping that in mind, the District administration office, Kaski have promulgated prohibitory law throughout the district.

The district administration office (DAO), Kaski has circulated an official notice regarding the abatement of the COVID-19 cases which has been growing significantly in the county. 

As of Today,The health directorate in Pokhara  reported  39,687 corona virus cases in Gandaki Province and 594 death tolls while Kaski district alone has 17,983 covid patients  with 274 fatality rate.

Shreenath Poudel, the spokesperson of the office in the earliest  stages of  the Nishedhagya had stated that,' To minimize the fatality rates, in the wake of the pandemic, a prohibitory order had been issued which came into effect from 28 April Wednesday at 6am until the midnight of May 4 in our district has been prolong to May 28 in order to break the chain of the coronavirus. '

But now overlooking the present condition, they have further  extended the lockdown for one week pushing the date till midnight of June 4.

Similarly, Thaneshwor Gautam, the Chief District Officer commented that, ' Grocery shops will operate only in the morning at 5am to 9 am whereas the pharmaceutical shops will open for 24hours. '

 As per the notice, people's mobility has been constricted , however the particular vehicular movement by the essential items providers like milk, drinking water tanker and other's will not get halted. 

In the COVID-19 Crisis Management Ordinance - 2078 BS, a series of regulations has been directed as COVID-19 emergency response and if anyone doesn't abide by the provisions in the decree then they are penalized for a year imprisonment or charged with a fine of Rs 500,000,000 or both.
