Early, on a Wednesday morning, an earthquake with its epicentre at Bhulbhule ;Marshyangdi Rural Municipality of Lamjung district took place in which the tremor was experienced in other districts like Pokhara,Gorkha,Manag, Tanahu, Kathmandu etc.

Pokhara

The National Seismology Centre, reported the occurrence of the quake which read 5.8 on the Richter Scale at 5.42 am at Marshyangdi Rural Municipality's Bhulbhule in Lamjung district of Nepal.

The National Earthquake Monitoring and Research Centre also recorded the aftermath tremors in the morning at 8.16 am and 8.26 am of intensities 4.0 and 5.3 respectively in the district.

DSP Ganga Bahadur Thapa of Lamjung district pointed out that nine houses were damaged completely whereas other 12 houses and more were partially destroyed in
which all the collapsed houses were made up of mud. Also, the District police office Inspector Jagdish Regmi said that,six people were found to be injured by the
earthquake in which the identified were, Govinda Adhikari , 22 of Thulibesi; Uma Gurung,40 of Chanaute; Khusi Maya Gurung, 29 of Okhlephant; Khop Kumari
Pandey, 87 of Ram Chowk besi; Managi Maya Tamang,83 of Lapsibot in Dordi RuralMunicipality; Sumitra Devi Shrestha, 60 of Shera in Besishahar municipality respectively.

Similarly,in Besishahar, two houses collapsed leaving two people injured. At Chanaute and Ram Chowk Besi of ward number 8, one house each was also damaged due to
the earthquake. Inspector Regmi added that, 'Because people panicked due to the quake, three got wounded while running while the rest were left harmed when their house wall started to fall in.'

Meanwhile, all of them were taken to the district hospital for their medical treatment at the District hospital, Lamjung whereas Mangali Maya Tamang is being treated at the local health centre.
