Today, marks the  anniversary of my parents and so is my turn to thanks them publicly for all that they do for me till date. Shoutout Papa and Mamu, you raised me well.

To my Mami & Papa,

As I sit in front of my laptop, to pen down a few letters, that is specifically reserved for your gala day; whilst celebrating both of you on your marital bliss. I cannot help but to thank you for showing me how love should feel like and to witness your love come alive every passing day, is a true joy.

My dear parents; you have been navigating through these uncharted waters that life brings together with their will, resilience and determination that always inspires me to do the same.

Even beyond the periphery of parenthood, lies our friendship which is so refreshing as to the times when we have had our fights where mostly it's Mamu and me trying to make a deal with Papa to buy something or Papa and me convincing Mamu to let us have another scoop of ice-cream. But, the ultimate trophy of big A team goes to my Mamu and Papa who will go that extra mile and extend their horizons when it comes to protecttheir love ones.

I didn't like you functioning together was during my examination period, when time and again the lecture of studying was too much to bear. Back then, I didn't realize it but now as an adult, I do am grateful to you both for providing me with a roof above my head, sustenance on my plate, education that bore opportunities and the greatest of all the power of love which means to treat others with integrity and taking responsibilities to amplify my voice for other's.I take pride in the values; you have instilled in me and treasure them for lifelong.

I would like to pray to the supreme force of the universe that I am granted with the blessing to watch you both happily together with sound health till perpetuity.

We all have flaws but the way you have accepted each other while passing sarcastic comments to one another and the in-between bantering is music to my ears.With your story, I have learnt that after all these eons of peaks and valleys, where you have your moment of argument but still it's the mutual respect, compassion for each other ruling over the sour bitter moments of life. There are some lighter moments that fills my heart where from your early morning walks and yoga practice to helping other in the candy crush game, selecting each other outfit and playing ringaringa roses, the world clearly hasn't seen this side of yours.

Initially both of you were complete strangers being bounded by the institution of marriage but slowly you became friends and that kind of  made your relationship much more stronger. Then adopting to a new role of being a parent to overcoming family tragedies, losses, surviving the pandemic, hospital stays and all that ecstasy, fete in between yet you guys make it look so easy which is not entirely true because there were moments when the two of you were vulnerable as I have seen it myself but it's the equal partnership that played the part, celebrating one another in the good or the bad .

To see you papa making mamu laugh and considering her side of family as yours too when in our society its entirely other way around .My mamu on the other hand has been the pillar of our family, giving him the strength to tackle any adverse situation. 

I certainly can go on and on but at the end of the day,I would like to pray to the supreme force of the universe that I am granted with the blessing to watch you both happily together with sound health till perpetuity. Till then, love to you both forever and always with all my heart and soul.
