Madi River Lifting Drinking Water Project.

The drinking water project of Tanahu district is such initiative taken by the government of Nepal and Bhadgaun Drinking Water Corporation with Rs 152.43 million investment.

The project is anticipated to be completed by August 2023 as disclosed by an agreement signed between the contractor company (Parajuli Construction Company) and the water corporation boady who holds 30% of the investment while the remaining percentage of investment is done by Nepal government. Similarly, through this drinking water project, the dwellers of Byas Municipality are going to have access to pure drinking water as it is said that 26 litres of water will flow at once where the water is being transported from the banks of Madi River in ward number of Byas Municipality towards ward number 1 of the same municipality.
