Fire damages million worth property in Pokhara.

DSP Chinimaya Tamang , Area Police,Baidam reported that a fire had broken out in Lakeside-6, Pokhara, today morning and the flames was put down after three hours by the joint efforts of the locals and the security forces alongside a fire brigade.

Although, the root cause of the fire is yet to be found, based on the initial investigation, the fire which had engulfed a shop situated at Foot track(Fewa Lake bankside) then simultaneously burnt down the other shops such as juice centre, local eateries, among others which was right next to it. In total, five shops namely, Devi Cafe, Bamboo Bar and Cafe, Welcome Chaat Centre, GS Juice Shop and Sonu Kaja Ghar have been badly damaged by the fire, said DSP Tamang. With no casualty reported, thus far, however,the estimation of the damages is not assessed, added the DSP.
