Pfizer views its oral antiviral is 89% effective against COVID-19.

The US company Pfizer developed pills which has been put into clinical trial is termed as highly effective as it reduces the risk of hospitalization or death due to COVID-19 by 89%

Pfizer Chairman and CEO Albert Bourla commented that the anti-covid pill also called as Paxlovid during its clinical testing from the middle to late state has shown to be highly effective and they will soon release the data to the Food and Drug Administration for Emergency use authorization. Bourla was hopeful that the pills will save many lives or atleast reduce the hospitalization rates if approved by the regulatory bodies.
