Dohori Champion winners in Pokhara.

The chief guest of the competition CM Krishna Chandra Nepali Pokharel and GM Phulman Bal of Nepal Television, among others in the venue at Lakeside, Pokhara handed over a cash price of Rs 2 millions to the winning team, yesterday.

Apart from the winning cash price, Meena Budhathoki and Prakash Parajuli also won Rs 10 million worth life insurance as they stood first in Nepal Television aired 'Dohori Champion' which was one of a kind of a competition featuring such twenty-four dohori singers from all over the country who were selected via digital and physical auditions respectively and based on the voting system the winners were chosen on the finals. Similarly, the pair of Shobha Karki and Bal Chandra Baral became first runner-up while the second runner-up were Rita Rawat and Sabin Acharya. The second team got life insurance of Rs 2 million along with 10 million cash and Rs 300,000 for third team. Furthermore, Meena Nepal and Rajendra Pathakn received Rs 200,000 as a consolation prize.
