Fire kills a one-month-old baby

In Rukum, a one-month-old baby died in a fire in a bed.

Rim Bahadur Rokaya, a resident of Rukum West Chaurjahari Municipality-6, has lost his one-month-old son. The fire is believed to have begun in the bed where the baby was sleeping after the mother left the room while sleeping the baby near the stove.

Similarly, the mother’s hands were burned and wounded while attempting to save the baby.

The injured mother was taken to Mission Hospital Chaurjahari for treatment, according to the Karnali State Police Office.

At the spot, a police team from Area Police Office Chaurjahari Rukum West has been dispatched.
