Public holiday on the occasion of Tamu Lhosar.

The Ministry of Home Affairs has issued a notice regarding the decision to grant public holiday on Thursday as the festive season of Lhosar is scheduled for tomorrow.

Tamu Lhosar, which marks as the new year festival for the Gurung community is usually celebrated on every 15th Poush whereby Tamu stands as another name for the Gurung folks celebrate the festival with full enthusiasm. Likewise, the Council of Ministers have announced the closing of all governments based offices, educational institutions and other public agencies on the auspicious day tomorrow.
