Due to the shutdown of a Hydropower project based in Myagdi, the people living in areas like Chyribot, Okharbot, Mahabhir, Chhap and Khaten are now relying back to the old traditional lights and candles as the place is no longer connected to the central transmission lines.

The 30-KW Dajung Khola Micro Hydropower Cooperatives Limited , situated at Malika Rural Municipality-4, Myagdi had been terminated since last month following technical shortcomings in the boring of the powerhouse turbines.In fact, about 393 houses were depending on electricity generated by the Hydropower plant for their everyday use.
