After days of unabated downpour,many rivers have risen across the province, causing material destruction of (in production & completed) Hydel plants, bridges,roads among others.
Similarly,The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology under The Ministry of Energy,Water Resources and Irrigation has issued the following 'Flood Forecast' notice in which they have predicted the water level escalation in the rivers ,throughout the country for the next three days.
Let's have a look around at the most affected hydrel projects around the Madi River corridor, Marshyangdi River corridor and Dodi River corridor respectively.
The four Hydropower Stations-Super Madi Hydropower, 10-megawatt Siklesh Hydropower, 12-megawatt Namarjun Madi Himalayan Hydropower and 25-megawatt Upper Madi Hydropower have borne the wrath of Madi River's flash flooding (on Tuesday night)in Madi Rural Municipality-1,2 Kaski.

The chairperson of the municipality,Bed Bahadur Gurung stated that,'The river's water flow has gone up high in these few days as because of the torrential rainfall,the power production has been halted which has make everyone cautious for any future danger.'
The under construction 44-Megawatt Super Madi Hydropower, at a guesstimated sum of NPR 7.47 billion was planning to commence the electricity production by 2022, but now it's dealing with an estimated monetary loss of over NPR 1 billion,as per the executive director PusphaJyoti Dhungana.
The area had sustained some extreme property damages - collapsing of the civil construction materials, shafts, hydromechanical as well as electromechanical structures, equipment, dams, tunnels and so on.
Dhungana,added that 170 workers and staff members were relocated to a local school with the help of Nepal army and local authorities.

Meanwhile,the surge in Madikhola has created a lot of difficulties for the Madkyu Khola Hydel project operated by Siklesh Hydropower Project as the 14 kilometer long transmission lines has been swept away besides bearing infrastructure damage worth NPR 300 million when in fact the project total cost is NPR 2.5 billion,as said by the director,Kiran KC.
The residents of Madi-1 ,Sikles are particularly affected with electricity outage because of the flood,the project's power transmission line has been cut which is directly connected to the central transmission line of this area,since 2007.

Likewise, due to the flood in Dordi River,54MW Super Dordi Hydropower B Plant has suffered physical damages at Dhodeni of Dordi Rural Municipality ward-6, in Lamjung district. The site incharge Ramesh Sigdel commented that,they have already rescued their 50/60 labourers to a safe location. The construction cost is NPR 8.8 billion.Earlier in 2016,a massive flood occurred in the region wherein the project handled the financial loss worth NPR 100 million.

President Krishna Prasad Acharya,of The International Power and Association,revealed that uptill Wednesday,over two dozens(16 half done)Hydropower projects were afflicted by the flood like situation ,nationwide.
At the same time,The flood water from the Marshyangdi River brought the following mayhem at Marshyangdi Rural Municipality-8,9. Apart from that,a Bailey,suspension bridge was taken away near the building of NasoRural Municipality by the overflowing Marshyangdi River in Manang district.

The building components like slabs and beams of the under construction bridge connecting the ward number 1 and 2 of Baudikali Rural Municipality with the district headquarter, Kawaswoti has been taken away by the flood-fed Baudikhola river in Nawalparasi. The chief administrative officer, Pradip Chandra Subedi stated that,the state government had granted Rs 35 million for the construction of the bridge. Subedi,furthermore illustrated that such similar situation is likely to happen near a motorable bridge linking Tanahu and Nawalpur as the rainwater flooding is raising Kaligandaki River's water level.
The road connectivity between Baglung and Parbat district has been disrupted after the Maldhunga motor bridge collapsed by the heavy rain induced flood in Kaligandaki river.

Other than that, various wood debris have landed on the swollen flooded Seti and Madi River at Kaski (Ramghat, Pokhara)and Tanahu (Damauli)district.
