293 new COVID-19 cases, 263 recoveries, 2 deaths in 24 hours

The Ministry of Health and Population has informed that Nepal’s Covid-19 tally has reached 922,756 as of Thursday afternoon.

The ministry said 293 new cases were confirmed and 263 people have achieved recovery whereas two deaths were reported in the country in the past 24 hours.

In this period, 9,510 swab samples were tested in the RT-PCR method, of which returned 241 returned positive. Likewise, 2,116 people underwent antigen tests for the virus, of which an additional 52 tested positive.

As of today, there are 5,161 active cases across the country. Of them, 251 are hospitalised, 96 in intensive care units and 22 on ventilators.

Meanwhile, 282,641 people were vaccinated today.
