The Ward Police Office, Rambazar Kaski has arrested one JCB excavator, three tipper trucks and a tractor for illegally extracting riverbed materials like sands,pebbles,rocks from the banks of Seti river around Ramghat,Pokhara-10.

Seti river's water level has risen because of heavy rainfall since a couple of days. Experts reveal that,due to the rampant sand mining along the Seti river has infact increased the velocity of the river which can trigger more flooding as well as soil erosion whilst posing a threat to the nearby settlement.
