The picturesque village of Ghandruk, with the silhouettes of breathtaking views of the mountain peaks like Himchuli, Annapurna South, Machhapuchhre, Gangapurna, makes it a popular tourist destination which even caught the attention of CNN Travel.

Ghandruk also serves as a gateway to 'AnnapurnaBaseCamp' and 'AnnapurnaCircuit Trek' wherein the traveller's are bewitched by the grandeur of the snowcapped Himalayas.

Ghandruk which lies in the Annapurna Rural Municipality,Kaski is less than an hour drive from Pokhara.

Since,the place is highly regarded by people from all over the world, Office of the Prime Minister and Council of the Ministers OPMCM- Government of Nepal have decided to imprint the imageries on the postal stamp.
At the same time, Philatelpic and Postal Stamp Management Office which is accountable for the publication, supply,storage and philatelic activities of the postal tickets nationally and internationally stated that, 'To promote Nepal's rich culture, diversity and natural wonders,their has been a provision of stamping the pictures on the tickets.'

Upon hearing the news,Yobaraj Kunwar, The Chief of Annapurna Rural Municipality was positive that such initiative will propel the tourism sector of this area and the stamp could be utilised at the forefront for tourist's attention.
