Handing over of 9 model houses in Rupandehi.

The Sainamaina Municipality, Rupandehi has handed over the model houses built at a price of Rs 18.6 million to such destitute residents who do not have any roof or shelter.

The municipality had earlier set the criteria of selecting up those people who were homeless and could not afford any supplies. On the other hand, the model houses situated at Rupandehi-11(nearby Kanchan rivulet) was constructed at the joint expense shared by the municipality alongside Terai-Madhesh Prosperity Programme at a ratio of 30:70 percentage of investment respectively. However, according to sources the authorities have made such a move as the individuals of that particularly municipality are going to be displaced with the probable expansion of the roads and ring road construction.
