PMC sets newly approved demarcation standards of nine lakes.

During yesterday's meeting of the Pokhara Metropolitan City's Executive Assembly, the authorities have drawn a boundary line for nine lakes namely Phewa, Begnas, Rupa, Khaste, Dipang, Gude, Niureni and Madi lakes situated here.

In accordance with the new set of rule, the standard for the lakes has been fixed at 30 meters for Phewa lake, 55 meters for Begnas and Rupa lakes and 20 meters for the remaining lakes. Moreover, this criteria suggests that the respective marked area around these lakes now needs to remain unoccupied as previously the standard of phewa , rupa and begnas were set at 65 metres and 100 meters respectively.
