Department of Customs reports over 420 million kgs paddy import.

In the fiscal year of 2021-22 , paddy worth more than Rs 12 billion with the weight amounting to 426,357,810 kgs were imported in this seven months as stated by RSS.

The Ministry of Finance, Department of Customs, in its report has illustrated that even the paddy saplings were imported during the period from the two neighbouring countries India and Bangladesh worth Rs 30 million and over Rs 14,000 respectively.
