GPS enabled ambulance will run in Gandaki Province.

The venture is going to be operated by Gandaki Province Health Directorate and Nepal Red Cross Society(Gandaki) wherein the former would be investing around Rs 3.8 million rendered through Gandaki Province Ministry of Health and Population whereas Rs 6.2 million will be spent by the latter.

For the noble cause of using the global positioning system(GPS) in an ambulance , an agreement has already been signed between both the organizations as starting from the present year they are going to set up GPS in about 150 ambulances and the other remaining ambulances will be getting this service from the upcoming fiscal year. Likewise, as stated in RSS, there are about 216 ambulances including the private and government run hospitals as well as some social clubs and Nepal Red Cross Society owned across the province.
