Fuel prices reach record high in Nepal

The government-run fuel distribution monopoly, Nepal Oil Corporation, has increased fuel prices yet again, making the prices of petrol, diesel and kerosene all-time high.

As per the statement made by the corporation on Tuesday evening, the following changes have been made to the new price:

Product	Previous price	New price
Petrol	Rs 139/litre	Rs 142/litre
Diesel/Kerosene	Rs 122/litre	Rs 125/litre
Aviation fuel	Rs 106/litre (Domestic) USD 995/kilolitre (International)	Rs 116/litre (Domestic) USD 1095/kilolitre (International)

Previous to this, the highest petrol price ever recorded was in March 2014. Likewise, the previous highest diesel price was announced just around a month ago.
