CNP monitors poacher movement.

In order to tackle the problem of illegal hunting and smuggling of wildlife around Chitwan, the authorities have taken measures so as to address the serious issue by installing and repairing CCTV cameras around the places in Chitwan National Park where the cases of the most animal poaching takes place.

The project being coordinated by the Department of National Parks and Wildlife Conservation and gets financial assitance from the World Wildlife Fund whereas the Chitwan National Park oversees the technical department and renders support in that expertise. Likewise, the officials have set up eleven CCTV cameras in seven area's between Kasara and Dhurba while the repair work in the location around Sauraha, Kasara, Dhurba and Bhimle is underway.
