Tanahu jeep accident.

At yesterday's evening, a jeep (Ga 1 Ja 6555) heading from Sarangghat towards Dharampani had fallen around some 100m off the road at Dharampani, Bandipur Rural Municipality-6, Tanahu.

On the occassion of Maghe Sakranti today, the celebratory mood of the villagers in Bokse and Hatiya of Tanahu is nowhere to be found as yesterday's tragic incident took the lives of six people from the villages namely Roshan Gurung(24), Hari Bahadur Neupane(53), Sushila Devi Neupane (48), Bim Maya Gurung(76), Santa Bahadur Gurung(48) and 9-month-old infant Aarubi Thapa. As stated by the DPO, Tanahu, among the deceased, four passengers died at the accident site whereas the remaining two didn't survive in the course of their treatment at the hospital. Likewise, the eight injured persons have been receiving medical treatment.
