In an discussion at the meeting of the Province Development Problem Resolution Committee as well as in the current fiscal year's first quartely progress review seminar, the Chief Minister of Gandaki province has stated the need to bring more investment so as to elevate the economic indicators in the province.

CM Krishna Chandra Nepali Pokharel has opined that although the province has recorded a relatively small GDP growth in the first quarter of the present fiscal year, they are projected to make a contribution of atleast 10.2 % to the GDP in the coming days with a probable investment of Rs 101.2 billion needed to achieve the required target for accelerating the economic growth. Similarly, he also pointed out the role of creating a suitable environment for private sector investment as well as implementing rightful policy for improving the sector.
