The Election Commission has stated that the election process will start from today for the upcoming polling on 12th of Magh for the 19-member body.
The commission has stated that the final list of candidates, election symbol giving program and election code of conduct will be implemented from Poush 20 to 25 under the election process starting from today.
The commission has already appointed an election officer. Polling stations and centers have also been decided.
The commission has stated that there are 2,025 voters in the National Assembly election with 1,493 at the local level and 532 in the state assembly.
Eight polling stations and 14 polling booths have been set up for the polling. Similarly, 12 parties have registered to participate in the election.
According to the Federal Parliament Secretariat, the term for one person among the office of 8 members of UML, 3 members of Congress, 4 members of Unified Socialists and 1 person nominated by the President will end on 20th of Falgun.
