The National Sports Council(NSC) while allocating a budget of Rs 50 million has shown their eagerness to setup floodlight at Pokhara Football Stadium.

Even though,the underconstruction stadium in Pokhara was not planning to have floodlights nor scoreboards at first,the NSC however has decided to install floodlights in the football stadium of Pokhara, this year as following the international standards where its a requirement for stadiums to have floodlights in order to play any matches. The office chief of Regional Sports Development Committee, Laxman Nath Yogi, commented that the work for installing floodlights will begin this year after calling for bids or tenders seeing that a budget of Rs 50 million has been alloted. Milan Gurung, the President of District Football Association, also echoed the same, and furthermore said that,'The floodlights will pave the way for international friendly games and other competitions in the stadium ', as published in RSS.On the other hand, the construction work for the stadium had begun in the year 2019, with an estimated cost of Rs 1.28 billion.
