The National Disaster Risk Minimization and Management Authority has requested the general community to remain on high alert for next three days as there will be heavy rainfall and landslide risk before the monsoon starts.

Nepal is still facing a baffling condition due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic but again the country is threatened by the pre- monsoon rainfall which is likely to happen for next three days starting from the 27th till 29th of May as forecasted by the Meteorological Forecasting Division.
The Division, has predicted storm warnings followed by thunder and wind storms in Gandaki and Lumbini Province and on some places of Province's 1 and 2 respectively.
In these last 24hours, as suggested by the Weather Forecast Division, nationwide Pokhara witnessed a massive downpour of 42.2 mm while the country's capital Kathmandu , experienced 30.22 mm rainfall.
The National Disaster Risk Minimization and Management Authority have issued a statement directing at the government to prepare and manage all essential items in case the excessive raining can cause other raininduced disasters like Flood and Lanslide later on.
The Authority has also briefly explained that owing to West Bengal's cyclones which have scored heavy rain across our nation in which light to moderate rainfall with lightning and thunderstorm is predicted such that the public needs to be in high alert for next coming days.
