Embossed licence plate to become compulsory at the time of vehicle renewal.

As per, the Department of Transport Management(DoTM), those who are seeking for their vehicle registration renewal will need to have the mandatory embossed number plates from January 15.

On May 30 (2016)the DoTM had signed an agreement with the contracting company called as Tiger IT- The Corporation in order to install and supply the number plates where the process of installing the embossed number plate in the newly registered vehicle came into effect from November 16 (2020) but owing to the global pandemic the application was delayed, however the authorities are looking forward to carry the work within the next 1 year.
