Prithvi Man Gurung appointed as the province chief of Gandaki Province.

A cabinet meeting held on Tuesday at Prime Minister's official residence, had suggested Prithvi Man Gurung's name as the new provincial head after dismissing Gandaki Province Chief Sita Poudel.

In pursuant with Article163(2) of the constitution of Nepal,President Bidya Devi Bhandari on the recommendation of the council of ministers has subsequently appointed Prithvi Man Gurung and Amik Sherchan as the state chief of Province's Gandaki and Lumbini respectively.

A Nepali Congress Party leader in Chitwan,Gurung has been appointed as the province chief of Gandaki Province. Meanwhile, Amik Sherchan became Lumbini Province governor after replacing Dharmanath Yadav. Sherchan,was succeeded by Sita Poudel as Gandaki Province governor on May 3rd of this year after being sacked by the erstwhile Oli (UML)led government.
